Is the most famous landmarks in Al Awabi is  " Al Awabi Fort " , Located at the entrance Wadi Bani Kharoos , if you want to visit Wadi bani Kharoos you should see the fort next wadi passageway .

Also called " Bait Al Fooq , Bait Al Garbi "  "Western House  , Over House " 

The fort was built during the reign of President Sheikh Jaad bin Khamis Al Kharusi (1147-1237h \ 1734-1821m).

Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid bin Sulaiman al Kharousi completed the construction of another part of the fort.

The goal of the fort? 

1 - To protect the country.

2 - Senate sitting place, imams and sultans.
